We Offer Multiple Classes for Shooters of all Levels

New Shooter Orientation

Walk In

The Firearms Rental Safety is designed for anyone who has never fired a handgun and wants to learn basic safety skills in a fun and safe environment. Guests who are unable to show safety proficiency and want to rent firearms at Shiloh Gun Range must take this class prior to renting a firearm. The class covers…

  • How to properly load and unload a firearm

  • Understanding basic firearm operation
  • Allow up to 25 minutes for the class.

LTC Shooting Qualification Only

Call and Reserve

For shooters who have completed their LTC classroom training portion (online or in-person) and need to complete the LTC shooting qualification portion to fulfill LTC requirements.

Equipment Required

  • Handgun and 50 round of ammo (Rentals handguns and ammo available)

Prerequisites

  • LTC classroom training portion (online or in-person) completed.




LTC Class

$89

Last Saturday of the Month – 9:00am to 3:00pm (Please call to confirm)

Our LTC classes are taught by certified LTC instructors and meet or exceed the minimum requirements defined by the Texas Department of Public Safety. Students are required to already know how to proficiently load and shoot their firearm and follow basic range instructions.

Students need to bring their state issued ID, black pen, notepad, firearm and 50 rounds of brass cased ammo, .22LR and up.

Online background check, https://www.dps.texas.gov/rsd/ltc/index.htm can be completed before or after the class, however we recommend doing this before class.


Basic Handgun

Handgun Essentials is designed to teach you everything you need to own and operate your handgun in a safe manner. We focus on firearm safety rules, grip, stance, sight alignment loading, unloading, and the fundamentals of how to make a firearm safe.

If you have just purchased a handgun or have never learned to use your handgun, this is the ideal class for you. By the end of the class, you will know the marksmanship skills needed.

Class Overview

  • Private one-on-one instruction
  • Assistance in weapon selection
  • Firearms and range safety
  • Thorough understanding of a handgun and its operation
  • Proper fundamentals of marksmanship
  • First half of the class is in a classroom setting/Second half is on the range
  • Class can last up to an hour depending on the student.

Advanced Handgun

Building on the fundamental skills learned in Basic Handgun, Advances Handgun is intended for those that own and know how to safely shoot their firearm but want to improve their marksmanship and firearm manipulation skills. This course will continue to build your confidence and knowledge of firearm manipulation.

Class Overview

  • Reinforce firearms and range safety
  • Gear placement and considerations
  • Introduction to more advanced shooting
  • Reloading techniques (Tactical and Speed)
  • Malfunction drills
  • Class can last up to an hour depending on the student.

  • Firearm
  • Minimum 2 Magazines
  • Magazine Pouch
  • Holster (No Serpa Holster)

Prerequisites

  • Basic Handgun Course Completion

Basic Rifle

Rifle Essentials is designed to teach you everything you need to know to own and operate your rifle in a safe manner. We focus on rifle safety rules, how to use your rifle, and how to accurately shoot your firearm. This is a great class for new shooters who want to learn how to use their rifle in multiple applications.

  • Firearms and range safety
  • Explanation on differences in ammo selection
  • Thorough understanding of the rifle and its operation
  • Proper fundamentals of marksmanship

Advanced Rifle

Building on your basic knowledge, Rifle Progression will further enhance your effectiveness with your rifle by adding new skills and fine-tuning your training goals. We will offer gear recommendations so you can modify your rifle style as you see fit.

Basic Shotgun

Shotgun Essentials is designed to teach you everything you need to know to own and operate your shotgun in a safe manner. We focus
on shotgun safety rules, how the shotgun functions, and how to accurately shoot your firearm. This is the perfect class for anyone
who wants to learn how to use their shotgun for self or home defense.

  • Assistance in firearm selection
  • Firearms and range safety
  • Understanding of ammo variations and gauge differences
  • Knowledge of semi-auto vs. pump
  • Proper fundamentals of marksmanship

Advanced Shotgun

Shotgun Progression is designed for those who already own and know how to shoot their shotgun but want to improve their marksmanship skills. This course will expand your proficiency and knowledge to take your shotgun skills to the next level.

  • Reloads (from sidesaddle and caddie)
  • Slug changeover
  • Pattern Analysis

Drawing from Concealment / Holster Draw

$125

Call and Reserve

The Drawing from Concealment Class is for anyone who has a LTC or is looking to get an LTC and wants to carry concealed. This class will show the different ways to carry and how to draw from concealment using those ways of carry.

Class Overview

  • How and where to carry concealed on your body (Appendix, 3o’clock, etc.)
  • How to draw your firearm safely from concealment
  • Clothing types and patterns that help conceal your firearm
  • Different types of holsters that can be used for concealment (OWB, IWB)
  • Class can last up to an hour depending on the student.

Equipment Required

  • Firearm
  • Holster (no SERPA, shoulder or ankle holsters allowed)
  • Cover Garment (jacket, shirt, vest,etc.)
